Happy Easter

We had a great weekend with family at the lake. The water was a little cold but there were still some of us crazy ones that got it. I went tubbing with the girls. They couldn't get enough We didn't but Emmy on one time and she cried to get it on. Great Sunday at church and then Dinner at my parents. We were sad to see Alli, Mark, and Jack leave :( Emmy couldn't get enough candy and they both loved hunting for eggs, and were pretty good at it. Aspen loved her new princess sunglasses that the girl easter bunny brought her all the way from Disney world. She wanted to make sure I sent the Easter bunny a picture and a text to say thank you.

ITS A GIRL!! Most of the vote was for a boy but we are excited to be having another girl. It was quite the experience in the sonagrame room when we found out. Emmy gets a little freaked out whenever I go to the Dr. and have to sit up on the bed, so wasn't happy. I had to hold her for awhile. Aspen was sure she was having a brother and the moment the lady said it's a girl. She cried and said she didn't want a sister she wanted a brother. I was crying b/c I was happy and of course crazy pregnancy hormons. The poor lady, I wonder what was going through her head. I can only imagine her thoughts.... that poor husband with all these girls hormons and now one more to add to them.

Lately

I'm not the best with this; I actually have another blog that I'm much better at. I can't remember anything so with pictures and journal writing it is fun to see what has happened in my last 30ish years. I decided I can type a whole lot faster than writing and keeping a journal for each kid was just getting to busy and more of a burden than fun. Anyways I created a totally blocked blog as a journal and then when it gets long enough I'll print one for each kid. I can't tell you how much time this has been saving me and I'm all about using ever minute of the day wisely. Now I love journaling again. Maybe I'll get around to Nov and Dec. which was full of fun events. But for now here is some fun pictures of our amazing trip to Atlantis. New years, girls couldn't get enough of the slides and pool, emmy was the only one who loved the beach (since papa had to leave early)

Girl Time

Never thought i would say this but Justin Bieber Concert was so fun he is a really good singer and dancer.
New York My mom got into the NY Marathon so she gave us a girls trip before hand. Unfortually the Marathon got canceled which was crazy because NY was fine. I know some people lost everything but overall it was okay. It was a fun trip with a lot of stories. Dad and Hayli getting into the Marathon, Marathon being canceled, meeting Jack for the first time, Jack pooping on me, walking a ton, shopping, 3 Tylenol PM's during the day, Shows, leaving the show while sitting in the third row, Live with Kelly & Michael, being on TV, being picked to be the dancer then to find out you had to wear bikini's, and the list goes on. We had to much fun and didn't want to leave.

Weekly/Daily Activities

Our fun weekly/daily activities: Aspen loves school. It's nice on Weds. because I drop Emmy off at my parents and then take Aspen to school. I love spending one on one time with her for about 15 min before school starts just talking. Emmy always into something just as I clean that up and turn around she's moved on the something else. Scripture study Walks to park, mail box or the lake. Bird/Squirrel watching. The girls love it. I think it was initially put up to help me with my squirrel fobia but it hasn't helped.

Open House

Aspen has been talking about open house at her school for awhile and it finally came. She actually had been saying her school was having a "Haunted House" I was a little confused but it was October. Emmy was just excited to go and explore her class room

Pecan Picking

We lived in Wharton for 3 years and one of our favorite things about living there were there was an unlimited about of pecans. Brady liked to pick and I like to eat so it was a win win deal. We decided it would be a fun family tradition to go every year and pick them and drive around to show our kids our first house. It was a lot of fun they were both big helpers until I turned around and the bag that Emmy was holding was blowing down the road. Luckly I found the pill of pecans that had fallen out so it wasn't a total waste.
