Easter

I'm grateful once again to celebrate Easter this year and to remember my Savior and his resurrection and atonement. We have been reading more about the Atonement and trying to teach Aspen. She is very disturbed about the picture of Jesus on the cross, she is so sensitive to things.

We have so many wonderful traditions at Easter time, Easter cookies, dying eggs, deviled eggs (my favorite) Easter egg hunts, confetti eggs, and spending time with family, it is always hard to fit it all in. We started out the morning at our house following the trail the Easter Bunny left to our baskets, then off the my families for breakfast, baskets, and egg hunt. Then we went to church and to Brady's parents for dinner and Easter egg hunt. We had a total of 6 egg hunts this year with friends, family, and church. Aspen had no idea what to do at the first one and just watching all the kids run around. By the last one she knew exactly what to do but still didn't get that many eggs, because she knew there was candy and money inside and had to open them as she picked them up.

I decided this was the last year I was going to plant a garden. I'm so tired of planting a garden year after year and having no fruits of my labor! Well I don't want to speak to quickly but I think this may be the year that we will see results, YEAH!! We already have at least 6 tomatoes growing and the others are growing fast. There is nothing like fresh vegetables from the garden.

Spring Time

We can't get enough of the outdoors this spring. We met cousins at the zoo and Aspen can't stop taking about how much she loved chasing Lincoln around. We went Strawberry picking with friends. They were so sweet and juicy, we ate all 5 lbs in 5 days. Walks, bike rides, parks weekly. I don't want summer to come.

Brady and I celebrated our 6 yr anniversary, were has the time gone! I'm so lucky to be married to a wonderful guy. We went and celebrated on Friday night to dinner and a movie.

We were able to spend the weekend with my whole family here. So far our family will have grown by 3 by the end of the year. It was great to spend it all together, ALL 12 of us.
